Expectations from the Participants

  1. Commitment: This 4-days, 2 hours each day interactive workshop is connected and informed by each other in terms of learning, it is highly recommended you be present all three days, but we do understand emergent situations and genuine reasons, so do let us know prior if you are unable to join.
  2. Participation:

In an effort to translate our learnings into action, this year, we have incorporated an action component to the workshop model, wherein the participants are expected to take up an action project in their own communities/schools with children.  The project could be self-paced and informed by the workshop module which could then be implemented with the support from The Gender Lab team and co-participants based on our individual needs and capacity. We look forward to collaborating with you on this project!

Feedback from the HWROB participants

"Yes, I have been personally following the Gender Lab workshops for the last 2 years, but I was unable to enroll due to the language barrier (Hindi/Marathi). I am so glad you have considered expanding the workshops to vernacular languages. And the lived and shared experiences of people across places are tied to the diversity factor so well. It was enriching to listen to so many people with such intense experiences. It was fantastic listening to the real voices from the grassroots level."

HWROB, Bhojpuri
"I gained a lot of knowledge from my peers. Being a part of this community is incredible."
Participant, HWROB, Marathi
I have moved from a space of superficial knowledge about gender to deeper meanings, identities and subjectivities. Setting the theory and then moving on to complicated subjects has set the stage for Self-Enquiry and Inner work. Unlearn to Unite.
